Mrs. Gloria Frimpong Adjei
Senior Research Assistant

Mrs. Gloria Frimpong Adjei is a Senior Research Assistant at the Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, IEPA, a UNESCO Category II Centre of excellence at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Ghana. 

Mrs. Frimpong Adjei, supports IEPA’s research and outreach activities and the promotion of IEPA’s special initiatives. She also supports the Office of Professional Development in rolling out the approved short courses to ensure that educational planners, leaders and administrators are abreast with current trends in the education sector.

On her educational background, Mrs. Gloria Frimpong Adjei has an MPhil in Administration in Higher Education and a Bachelor of Education degree in Social Sciences (Geography and Economics), all from the University of Cape Coast. 

Prior to joining the IEPA family in 2022, Mrs. Gloria Frimpong Adjei was an Administrator at the Directorate of Information Communication Technology (ICT) Services at the University of Cape Coast. Before that, she was also an Administrator at the Dean's Office School of Agriculture and at the Centre for African and International Studies (CAIS) all at the University of Cape Coast. Her key functions as an Administrator, among other things, were to ensure the efficient operations of the office as well as serve as a recorder and a secretary for all meetings.

Mrs. Gloria Frimpong Adjei brings to IEPA a wealth of experience in administration operations to support the Directorate of Research, Innovation Outreach (DRIO) at IEPA.  

Mrs. Frimpong Adjei’s research interest is in quality assurance and administration in higher education.  She was awarded a certificate by My Community, Our Earth (MyCOE), a sub-organization of the United Nations for submitting a youth-led sustainable development project which was showcased at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in 2012. She is a supporting researcher on the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODERSIA), Dakar-Senegal commissioned funded research. 

Mrs. Frimpong Adjei has a publication entitled “Internal Quality Assurance in the Colleges of Education: An Institutional Theory Perspective” in the Journal of Educational Planning and Administration.
