This course deals with an overview of basic aspects of the foundations of education including the fundamental aspects of philosophy, psychology and sociology of education and their relationship with the problems of education. Topics covered include metaphysics, epistemology, human growth and development, the nature of learning, learning theories, social change and socialisation.
