Course Description
This course is designed to equip the student with the relevance of statistics in educational leadership. The course provides students with tools of commonly used statistics to prepare them for more advanced exposures in statistics. Students learn both conceptual and technical aspects of location and dispersion measures, regression and correlation, hypothesis testing, z-tests, t-tests and analysis of contingency tables. It also deals with qualitative and quantitative research designs, data analysis and interpretation of statistic techniques of educational research. The strengths and weaknesses of various parametric and non-parametric statistics are discussed.
