M.Ed. in Educational Planning
Target Audience: Educational planners, policy analysts, M&E officers, and GES/MoE personnel.

The M.Ed. programmes provide a broad-based professional training in educational planning, policy, leadership, administration and management (EPPLAM). It also equips students with the requisite skills to meet policy, planning and leadership challenges facing educational institutions in West Africa and beyond.

The programmes explore the intellectual and practical problems facing educational administration, policy, planning and leadership in contemporary times. The M.Ed. programmes marshal students to understand the educational problems, build up their skills in the management of scarce resources and mould their decision-making process to become solution providers in the educational sector.

PROGRAMME DURATION
The M.Ed. programmes run for two sandwich semesters every year, with the first semester commencing in   August and ending in October (8 weeks per session).

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Candidates desirous of obtaining the benefits of the programmes must possess a good first degree from the University of Cape Coast or any other recognised higher learning institution within the West African Sub-region to be considered for the programme.

TEACHING FORMAT
Teaching and learning are conducted using the blended approach, a combination of both physical face-to-face and virtual learning formats for the programmes.

Institute for Educational Planning and Administration, a UNESCO Category II Institute, located at the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast.
